How often do you need to clean your gutters?

Generally gutters need to be cleaned every 6-12 months. Most properties in Brisbane require a gutter clean every 12 months but if the area has a lot of trees every 6 months or sooner would be a wise decision.

How do professionals clean gutters?

These days there are many different ways to clean your gutters from the gloves and bucket method to the costly purpose built gutter vac systems. We like to do things the good old fashioned way. First we tidy up any stray leaves or debris from the roof, then we remove gutter debris from the gutters and collect it in garden waste bags. We usually take the debris away but it does make excellent compost and is great for the garden so if the customer would rather us leave it for their garden we're more than happy to. If there are delicate or difficult to reach areas we will use a vacuum to tidy up the area. This is a tried and true method of cleaning gutters and means our customers don't overpay for a gutter cleaning service.

How much does it cost to have your gutters cleaned?

Do I have to be home while my gutters are cleaned?

No. So long as our team has access to the exterior of the property you can trust us to get the job done without any hassle or stress. We realise most people today lead very busy lives and getting your gutters cleaned while at work or running errands is more convenient. We provide before and after pictures for each job so that you can personally see how clean the gutters are once we've finished whether you are at home or not. Of course, if you'd like to be home to meet the team and say hello that's even better!

Can I clean the gutters myself?

While cleaning gutters is a straightforward job it is high risk work and it's simply not worth taking the risk by cleaning them yourself. Staying safe at heights is critically important as many Australians are injured each year by falling from ladders or roofs. Brisbane Gutter Cleaning & Maintenance places a high importance on safety, therefore we recommend getting a professional to take care of this part of your home maintenance. While on the roof a temporary anchor point is installed and our team uses harnesses to ensure work is completed safely. Having clean gutters simply isn't worth the risks involved by doing it yourself.

Are you fully insured and certified?

Yes. We have Third Party Property Insurance and hold a Working Safely at Heights Licence so you can rest assured knowing professionals are completing the job.

Do you take away all waste and debris?

Yes. We pride ourselves on making sure we leave each property looking neat and clean. We clear up all debris as we go and are prepared to take it all away with us. Some of our customers love using the leaves and debris as compost for their gardens and if that's the case we'll leave it neatly where desired.
